Diabetes Walk

This was our 3rd year walking to help raise money for diabetes research. This event includes free admission to Utah's Hogle Zoo. The weather was wonderful, unlike last year's rain and snow. We had a big turnout this year, with 12 people walking for our team "Dew it for Diabetes" and many more giving donations in our name. Thanks!

Road Trip! Boise, Idaho

We have some friends that live in Boise so we spent the weekend with them. We went to the Boise Temple on Friday night and then floated the Boise River on Saturday. Our last trip before Summer resumes school on August 27th.

Camping!

This weekend we went camping with some friends and family up American Fork Canyon. Our usual camping spot requires 4x4 to get there. We also took Nike- this was her first camping/wheeling trip. She liked getting dirty! She also liked riding in our Jeep "Meatball."

Happy Independence Day!

To start off our Independence Day celebration, we went to the fireworks on the night of the 3rd at South Salt Lake's "Freedom Fest," enduring nearly 100 degree weather until the sun went down.
Then this morning, we went to Jon's parents' house for their annual 4th of July breakfast. It wasn't as sunny but just as hot, with several of us suffering sunburns because of the false safety we felt with the sun hiding behind clouds.

Today is Summer's 24th birthday! Birthday celebrating went on for several days, including dinner with her family Friday night, BBQ at a friend's on Saturday night, and cake and ice cream at her parents' on Sunday. Then, of course, no work and sleeping in on the day of.

Road Trip! June 21, 2008

Saturday, June 21st, we (Jon, Summer, and friend Joselyne) left at 5am and began our statewide journey. We arrived in St. George in time to go to the temple there to see Summer's cousin receive her endowments. Then, after lunch, we headed out again and arrived in Manti that evening for the Manti Pageant (the Mormon Miracle Pageant). After that, we headed out and arrived home at about 2am! It was a long day but totally worth it!

Our 1 Year Anniversary!

Today is our 1 year wedding anniversary! We went to the Salt Lake Temple with many friends and family and were sealed for time and all eternity. Then, later on, we ate some of the top of our wedding cake that was saved from last year!

The Jordan River Temple

Today we had the privilege to go to the Jordan River Temple and receive our endowments. We had many friends and family that joined us to celebrate this incredible event.
